Quality Guiding and Instruction

Welcome And What's New At DAK

Especially now, we think there's nothing better than heading to the river. We invite you to unplug and come with us to the wilderness to improve your skills, to relax, or just to get away from it all and reenergize.

If you are reading this, it's very likely that you were encouraged to check us out by someone who knows us, or you have been with us on a previous trip or two! The key to our success is our experience and that we care about you. Our goal has always been to provide the best in whitewater guiding and instruction. The way we do that is we individualize what we teach and how we guide to meet each persons needs. And we’ve been doing just that for over 30 years. We love teaching and guiding! Join us and see for yourself.

Whether you are relatively new to the sport of whitewater kayaking, interested in making plateau breakthroughs, or wanting an exceptional wilderness or international trip, you'll find we accelerate your progress, encourage your confidence, and ensure that you have fun along the way. If this is what you're looking for, we look forward to paddling with you!

The Lower Owyhee is an unique desert canyon trip. It offers Class III whitewater in stunning canyons of constantly changing geology. We still have spots on the April 20-25 trip.

Idaho's Middle Fork of the Salmon is outstanding. Remote, pristine, technical, challenging, fun!  A few openings have come available. Call us right away! 530-295-0830

ACA Legends of Paddling

"I firmly believe that your interest in how to present ideas, how to help your students visualize or conceptualize them and then how to turn them into reality on the water (as well as your interest in how to build confidence and cope with fear) makes you guys amongst the best teachers I have known... in any field."   Tod, CO
