“I wanted to thank you again for providing the amazing trip I have always been dreaming about! Your easy-going energy and hard work made it easy for all of us to enjoy an incredible adventure. ”
– Rich W.  FL.

Sooner or later the Grand Canyon of the Colorado River tops out on every paddler’s wish list, and for good reason –nothing compares. The river has carved its way through geologic time, telling the history of our planet on cliff walls and talus slopes. Imagine floating through 2 billion year-old gorges while living the simple life for 2 weeks. Hikes to Ancient Puebloan (Anasazi) ruins and up magical side-canyons to hidden waterfalls are part of our days as we paddle and play our way from Lee’s to Pearce Ferry, a journey of 275 miles. This is definitely the trip of a lifetime. And some folks do it every year!

Our extensive familiarity with the Canyon assures that you get to experience the whole enchilada. We boat, hike, sleep under the stars, chill, and play, all the while sharing the fellowship of like-minded folks and fueled by hearty meals. Life on river time is straightforward. Here we remember our place on this earth and in the universe. We remember how it is to just be, like when we were kids; curious, ready for the next moment, excited to be alive! We feel awe at the canyon’s immensity, and astonished by the contrast of life’s gifts: verdant lushness in the middle of the desert, rock walls that glow from within, and, how can any place be so hot and cold, so wet and dry all at the same time?

The only decision to make is to join us, the rest you leave to us.

We’ve guided kayakers in the Grand Canyon since 1985. This familiarity allows us to maximize each day. We enjoy the best camps, do more hikes, and get intimate with the Canyon and it’s tributaries like no other trip out there. We coach you on technique and strategies to set you up for success, and boost your confidence in big water. We know which rapids warrant a scout, which big lines are clean, where the biggest waves are, and which holes you can crash right through. With 2-3 kayak guides on the water, we support you in running the lines of your choice and back you up at the play spots.

The motor-rafts are there for us when we need a helping hand. Should you want a rest day to kick back and take in the sights, or to hear about the geology, natural and human history, just throw your kayak on and jump aboard! Our boatmen and women are very knowledgeable and welcome your company. On a windy day with miles and miles of flat water, we have the option to “ride & hike”. Within the same day, we might trek to the top of an inner rim with panoramic views, then head downstream and scamper up a tight side-canyon to a dripping fern garden! With the motor-rigs as support, your non-paddling family and friends can ride along and share this awe-inspiring journey with you.

Offered in September, you might see waterfalls form on the rim after a rare afternoon shower! This trip often fills a year in advance.

Pre Trip Our group meets the evening before at Marble Canyon Lodge, just 5 miles from the put in at Lees Ferry. This is a great chance to meet each other, answer last minute questions and hand out any gear you have requested from the outfitter.
Day 1 -15 Put in, paddle, play, hike, eat, sleep, look at amazing scenery, repeat. Take out. It’s 15 days so why stick to a schedule.
Day 16 Go through Grand Canyon withdrawals.
