We offer trips on some of the best multi-day rivers around. From 5 to 15 days, you’ll be able to unplug and leave the hectic pace of the outside world behind, settle into river time and surround yourself with some like- minded, adventurous people.
Looking for a great trip to start off your river season, try the stunning scenery of Oregon’s Owyhee. You want an ideal family trip chocked full of an abundance of wildlife, try the Rogue in Oregon. Idaho’s Middle Fork Salmon is a shining gem in the Wild and Scenic River system. The Main Salmon, also in Idaho, is set in beautiful, rugged canyon that, along with the Middle Fork, is part of the largest contiguous wilderness in the lower 48. One of the grand daddies of all river trips is the Grand Canyon of the Colorado, now there you can really unplug.
We’ve teamed up with some outstanding outfitters for these trips. They take care of the logistics, supply the rafts and share their team of knowledgeable and experienced raft guides. The guides in turn transport your gear, prepare healthy, wholesome and hearty meals, keep us smiling and laughing while sharing their knowledge of our surroundings. Don’t worry, we’re there to guide the kayakers, answer your questions, provide instruction if you wish and work in conjunction with rafting crew to give you the best possible trip. We’ve been known to spin a tall yarn or tell a joke or two as well.
Yep, we’ve been at this for awhile (almost 40 years) and in that time we’ve seen a thing or two; category 5 hurricane in Honduras, roadblocks due to mudslides in Ecuador, shuttling boats to the put in with a rototiller in Bhutan, and forest fire closures. We’ve explored numerous rivers around the world, and guided thousands of guests. Our time at kayak schools like NOC, Otter Bar and Sundance were incredible melting pots of shared information and techniques for which we are forever grateful. We’ve also worked with a lot of outfitters here in the US, having observed the variety of ways they approach their trips, we saw what worked well and rejected what didn’t then applied the good ones to our trips.
We loving nothing more than to help people improve in their skills during the course of one of our trips. From paddle strokes to water reading, strategies to play, we can work with you on expanding your skills. There’s nothing like multiple days in a row of paddling to learn, practice and improve. We also know when it’s time to get out of your way and just let you paddle.
